Fr. David Bellusci, OP

“My Heart has expected reproach and misery and I looked for one who would grieve together with Me, but there was none; and for one that would comfort me, and I found none!” (Ps. 68)

“We place all the intentions of our members in the Loving Heart of Jesus and ask Him to bless them.”

The Recollected Soul listening to the Sacred Heart

“I will hear what the Lord God shall say in me”

During this month practice great recollection; for Jesus desires in a special manner to
come and converse with you in your heart.  Make, as it were, a retreat in your soul, and
remain there.  Jesus desires silence and recollection when He would instruct, enlighten,
and teach a soul.  He rarely speaks in the noisy tumult of the world, or amidst the distractions of a dissipated heart.

Recollect yourself then– especially during your Hour of Guard.  Lay aside the
numberless pre-occupations which crowd upon you, and listen to Jesus in the silence of your soul.  He has something to say to your heart.

“I will be silent, Lord, that I may hear Thee speak. And in my heart’s calm stillness, Thee will seek”

Try to please the Heart of Jesus by being faithful to your Hour of Guard

Prayer to Renew Our Fidelity and Devotion

Divine Jesus, my Saviour and my King, with all my heart I renew the promise which I have made to love, to glorify and to console Your adorable Heart as a member of the Guard of Honor. Grant O good Master, to make me daily more loving, more devoted and more faithful. I ask this same grace for all the Associates through the Immaculate Heart of Your Mother. AMEN
