“My Heart has expected reproach and misery and I looked for one who would grieve together with Me, but there was none; and for one that would comfort me, and I found none!” (Ps. 68)
“We place all the intentions of our members in the Loving Heart of Jesus and ask Him to bless them.”
The Soul transformed by the Sacred Heart
“This is my Body.”
Under a lowly appearance we recognize Jesus Christ. Yet Our Lord desires far more, to live in your thoughts, in your words, in your least actions, than even in the sacred Host! What a transformation has therefore to be accomplished in the soul! Ask yourself from moment to moment, how your Eucharistic Lord thinks, speaks, acts, and suffers! And be like Him, humble, silent, patient, self-sacrificing. You must become a living ciborium — even more — another Jesus Christ! Respect immensely the dignity to which His divine Heart would elevate you this month, and do nothing unworthy of a soul which no longer lives, but in which Jesus Christ lives..
“Thy presence real, though unseen, O Jesus to me give, That in my soul, as in the Host, thou verily may’st live.”
Try to please the Heart of Jesus by being faithful to your Hour of Guard.
Prayer to Renew Our Fidelity and Devotion
Divine Jesus, my Saviour and my King, with all my heart I renew the promise which I have made to love, to glorify and to console Your adorable Heart as a member of the Guard of Honor. Grant O good Master, to make me daily more loving, more devoted and more faithful. I ask this same grace for all the Associates through the Immaculate Heart of Your Mother. AMEN
